ACC Sensitive Claims (ISSC)

The Psychology Practice is a Supplier for ACC Integrated Services for Sensitive Claims (ISSC) which has been providing client centered support to survivors of sexual abuse and assault since 2014.

The Psychology Practice has a variety of clinicians available for this support (Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Psychotherapists and Counsellors) in the Auckland region that can provide therapeutic services for clients who have experienced sexual abuse/harm. We provide services for children, young people and adults and have worked hard to ensure that we have a excellent range of experienced clinicians who represent various cultures and demographics that may suit to your preferences. There are also services available for your family and whānau.

If you are a survivor of sexual abuse and perhaps struggling with managing your day to day well-being, please make contact with us and we'll do our best put you in touch with a clinician who can help.

Once you engage with one of our clinicians, they will explain the process and answer any questions you may have. ISSC sessions are fully funded by ACC so you don't need to pay.

For Clinicians

Therapy for adults and children

Life can get tricky at times and we all need help along the way. I'll work with you to identify what the issues are and how we can work together to manage and/or resolve whatever is going on for you.

Everybody is unique. This is why I integrate different therapeutic models so that the support I provide suits your needs and goals. I'll work with you in a 1:1 capacity but it's important to recognise the value in other modalities such as family therapy and couples work.

Parenting capacity assessments for the Family Court and Oranga Tamariki

I provide parenting capacity assessments for the Family Court and Oranga Tamariki.

Parenting capacity assessments help these agencies understand

and provide the right support for families and their children who find themselves involved in care and custody disputes.

My Approach

It can be hard to talk about personal issues and it takes a lot of courage to reach out to a professional for help. I understand this and that's why I tend to have a relaxed and approachable style so that you feel more comfortable in reaching your potential.

We will work together on whatever difficulties there are, and if need be, we will seek assistance from other services/agencies such as alcohol and drug services, that seek to compliment your needs.

Where possible we will include a family member or friend who can also help in the journey, after all life is a team effort!
